Dandelions Become Plastic Factory

Dandelions naturally emit a small burst of latex when the head is harvested. Geneticists have found a way to make that small burst into a heavy discharge, increasing the output over 5 times. The new discovery could lead to cheaper rubber products, including tires, medical supplies, and household goods. Farmers estimate that one hectare would produce over a ton of raw latex.
